50th Annual Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, Emerging Artist, Jury Selected, Print Pulled for Jurying
My experience being featured as an emerging artist at Gasparilla Arts Festival was truly gratifying to say the least. I enjoyed talking with SO MANY art lovers and visitors from near and as far as Canada about my printmaking practice. It was an incredible privilege to personally meet face-to-face with those who purchased and connected with my work—an opportunity that rarely presents itself when selling through galleries!
“Hidden Kingdoms, Hammock” was pulled for award jurying by the guest juror, Paul Galloway, a collection specialist from the MoMA. Though I wasn’t selected for the best emerging artist award, I’m very humbled to have had my work even considered.

After spending nearly 16 hours a day in the studio, I successfully carved five 12×12″ wood block and pulled an edition 8 multiple color block prints. The design is inspired by some graphite drawings I completed last year- each exploring the concepts of the mythic present and memory.
